Hemant Jagtap
Hemant Jagtap joined Unified Volleyball in 2025 and led 16 Sky, guiding the team to gold bracket finishes in each of their last three tournaments. Hemant brought a unique blend of coaching experience, operational insight, and creative media skills to the Unified program.
Outside of Unified, Hemant serves as the Media and Branding Coordinator for Michigan Tempo, a men’s semi-pro team competing in the Volleyball League of America (VLA). His work behind the camera has been instrumental in Tempo’s growing online presence and continues to be a pivotal part of their competition and event coverage.
Hemant is also actively involved in the broader Metro Detroit volleyball community. A 2024 graduate of Oakland University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he was the team manager for the Oakland University NCAA Division I women’s volleyball team during the 2023–2024 season, assisting with stat tracking and daily practices. He returned to the program as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2024–2025 season, contributing to practice planning, scouting, and day-to-day operations.
During his time at Oakland, Hemant also contributed to re-establishing the Men’s Club Volleyball Team, helping lead their re-entry into the MIVA (Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) and managing their social media during their rebuilding phase.
