About Unified East

Unified East is a premier youth volleyball club based in Southeast Michigan, with training locations across Macomb and St. Clair Counties. We are proud to partner with Unified Volleyball Club, a respected and established program rooted in Oakland County. Through this partnership, we bring high-level training and a proven club structure to athletes on the east side, while maintaining local leadership that is fully invested in the athletes and families we serve.

In our first club season, Unified East has already supported and developed over 100 athletes. From the beginning, our focus has been on creating a connected and accountable environment where players feel challenged, supported, and excited to be in the gym. We are not just building teams—we are building relationships and a community that athletes want to be a part of long term.

Unified East is led by Breanna Staton, Varsity Head Coach and an experienced club coach who is actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the program. This is a coach-led model, meaning training systems, practice structure, and athlete development are not outsourced—they are intentionally designed and consistently implemented. Athletes benefit from a clear standard across all teams and a leadership presence that is hands-on and accessible.

We place a strong emphasis on organization and communication. Families know what to expect, athletes understand their role, and everything from scheduling to training is approached with purpose. There is a standard here—not just in how we train, but in how we show up for one another.

Our coaching staff is a major part of what makes this program work. We look for coaches who care, who are willing to learn, and who take pride in helping athletes improve. We invest in their growth through ongoing support and mentorship so that every athlete, regardless of team level, receives consistent and thoughtful coaching.

Unified East is also committed to offering more than just team practices. We continue to expand opportunities for athletes through positional training, small group sessions, and additional resources like speed and agility work, mental performance sessions, and recruiting guidance. We understand that every athlete’s path looks different, and we aim to provide options that support both development and balance.

All operations—including tryouts, team formation, practice planning, and tournament scheduling—are managed locally to ensure a high level of attention and care. At the same time, our partnership with Unified Volleyball Club provides a strong foundation and access to a larger network, allowing us to combine local connection with a broader level of support.

Whether an athlete is new to the game or working toward the next level, Unified East provides a clear and structured path forward. Our goal is to create an environment where athletes grow, compete, and stay connected to the game for years to come.
