Club volleyball provides a competitive level of play for girls who are interested in improving their skills and gaining the experience necessary to play in middle school, high school and beyond.

  • Improves a player’s technical, tactical and physical skills through practice/clinics and training
  • Provides an opportunity for tournament play against teams from all over the region and through certain programs, the nation.
  • Provides an opportunity to meet new friends and play with athletes with similar goals
  • Helps develop social skills and teaches athletes about competitiveness and how to deal with both winning and losing.
  • Compete at a higher level of volleyball – to push the athlete to reach their individual peak potential
  • Gain exposure (at elite levels) to college coaches and programs through the recruiting process

We utilize the Master Coaching System, which is a comprehensive training protocol that incorporates techniques used by the U.S. National Team, many Division I college programs, and the top clubs nationwide. This system will enable Unified to ensure a consistent set of training techniques and terminologies across all teams in our club, further unifying our National, National Select, and State level teams. All players and coaches will learn the same skills and strategies, which will promote cohesive, high-quality, and consistent level of training.

We offer a wide range of team levels with an appropriate tournament schedule! We offer three levels of teams:

  • National - this schedule offers the most competitive tournaments in the Midwest region. Teams will travel within five hours of the Oakland County area to compete against the top teams and athletes in the Midwest!
    • This level is for the athlete who wants to compete at the highest level or who might aspire to play volleyball in college.
  • National Select - this schedule provides more balance between competitive local tournaments and travel. There will be two to three tournaments that will be within a three hour drive from the Oakland County area.
    • This level is for the athlete who wants to continue her volleyball career and compete outside of school, but also has other sports/conflicts throughout the season that she needs to balance.
  • State - this schedule has all local Oakland County tournaments and offers one tournament in the Grand Rapids area.
    • This level is for the U10-U14 athlete who is new to the sport of volleyball and wants to grow her knowledge of the game.

Our Story

Unified Volleyball was founded in 2015 by Brian Kim and Jason Gambone, alongside their wives, Sam Kim and Heather Gambone. As experienced coaches, we shared a common vision: to create a volleyball club where every athlete is valued, challenged, and supported—not simply another name on a roster.

From the very beginning, our goal has been to build more than competitive teams. We set out to create a club that feels like family, where athletes develop confidence, character, and a lifelong love for the game. Every decision we make is centered around providing a positive, high-quality experience that helps each athlete reach their full potential.

Our first season included just five full-season teams and three spring teams. Since then, Unified has grown into one of Michigan's premier volleyball clubs, serving more than 30 teams each season while remaining committed to intentional growth.

What makes Unified truly special is the community we've built. Many of our former athletes return to coach, mentor, and invest in the next generation of players. Others have gone on to successful collegiate and professional volleyball careers, yet they continue to call Unified home.

At Unified Volleyball, winning is important—but developing outstanding people is our greatest success. We strive to teach responsibility, resilience, leadership, accountability, and respect alongside the technical skills of volleyball. Our athletes leave our program not only as stronger volleyball players, but as confident leaders prepared for success both on and off the court.

Today, our mission remains the same as it was in 2015: to provide every athlete with an environment where they can grow, compete, build lasting relationships, and become the very best version of themselves.
