BRIAN KIM
Brian is one of the founding members of Unified Volleyball and enters his 12th season with the club in 2027. With 18 years of coaching experience at the AAU and USAV levels, he brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and passion to the Unified community.
He is currently the Head Varsity Coach at Bloomfield Hills High School and led the program to an MHSAA State Finals appearance in 2026, earning Coach of the Year honors that same season.
Throughout his high school coaching career, Brian served as the Head Varsity Coach at Oxford High School (2017–2021) and previously at Bishop Foley High School (2010–2013). During his tenure at Oxford, the Wildcats earned Top 10 state rankings in two of four seasons. At Bishop Foley, his teams achieved notable success, including a Catholic League Championship, a League Runner-Up finish, one Regional Championship, and two District Championships.
Off the court, Brian and his wife, Sam, enjoy spending time with their two sons, Damian and Riley.
JASON GAMBONE
Jason is one of the founders of Unified Volleyball and brings over two decades of experience to the program. A former collegiate club athlete, Jason has dedicated the past 29 years to coaching club volleyball at the National level, guiding countless athletes to pursue their careers at the collegiate level.
In addition to his club experience, Jason has spent the last 16 years as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Seaholm High School. Under his leadership, Seaholm reached the MHSAA State Quarterfinals in 2012 and advanced to the Regional Finals in 2014. Jason is the Head Varsity Coach at Stoney Creek High School.

SAMANTHA ALIAH KIM
Sam is a passionate and experienced volleyball coach with over 15 years of experience coaching teams. She is currently the Varsity Assistant Coach at Bloomfield Hills High School alongside her husband, Brian, and helped lead the team to an MHSAA State Finals appearance in 2026. She previously served as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Oxford High School for four seasons, contributing to a strong and competitive program.
Her playing career began with standout success in high school, where she led her team to its first League Championship—and an undefeated season—in 28 years. She earned numerous honors, including All-Region, All-Tournament, Dream Team, MVP, and recognition as one of Michigan’s Top 100 players. Sam went on to attend Michigan State University, earning a degree in zoology while competing on the “A” Club Volleyball team. She continues to play competitively both indoor and outdoor, and has also competed at the semi-pro level in beach volleyball.
Now entering her 12th season with Unified Volleyball, Sam serves as the Director of SPIKEtime Toddler Sports and balances her coaching career with her family and two sons, Damian and Riley.
Outside of coaching, Sam works full-time as a Scent Detection Dog Handler Supervisor, specializing in bed bug detection alongside her canine partner, Vernor.
HEATHER GAMBONE
Heather Gambone serves as Unified Volleyball’s Youth Development Coordinator, along with coaching 10-Blue and 11-Blue teams.
Heather’s coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of hard work, discipline, and teamwork. She is known for her ability to motivate players to reach their full potential and for her innovative approach to training and skill development. Heather is committed to helping her players not only excel in volleyball but also grow as individuals, teaching valuable life lessons that extend beyond the court.
A 2001 graduate of Walled Lake Central, she helped lead her high school team to two State Semifinal appearances. She continued her collegiate volleyball career at Western Michigan University for two years before transferring to Oakland University, where she played for three more seasons. At Oakland, Heather left her mark—setting school records for blocks and kills, both in a single season and over her career.
Heather has coached volleyball for 16 years across various levels, including 16 seasons as a Varsity Coach at Seaholm High School alongside Jason Gambone. Together, they helped lead Seaholm to the MHSAA State Quarterfinals in 2012 and the Regional Finals in 2014. She has proudly coached many athletes who have gone on to play collegiate indoor and beach volleyball.
In addition to her coaching career, Heather is a dedicated 4th grade teacher and a proud mom to Summer and Bryn Gambone. She enters her 12th season with Unified Volleyball in 2027, continuing to shape the next generation of athletes with passion, experience, and heart.
LAWRENCE PATTON
Lawrence began his volleyball journey as a sophomore at Oakland Community College, where he quickly developed a passion for the sport. His skills on the sand courts at On The Dunes led him to join the inaugural men’s volleyball team at Lawrence Technological University. At LTU, Lawrence was a four-year starter, playing every position before finishing his collegiate career as a setter.
With 11 years of coaching experience—including 8 years at the National level—Lawrence is entering his 9th season with Unified Volleyball in 2027. He brings a strong understanding of all positions and a dedication to player development.
Outside of coaching, Lawrence works in the IT field and enjoys competing in local volleyball tournaments and leagues whenever he can.
HEMANT JAGTAP
Hemant Jagtap joined Unified Volleyball in 2025 and led 16 Sky, guiding the team to gold bracket finishes in each of their last three tournaments. Since then, he has gained years of national level expierience. Hemant brought a unique blend of coaching experience, operational insight, and creative media skills to the Unified program.
Outside of Unified, Hemant serves as the Media and Branding Coordinator for Michigan Tempo, a men’s semi-pro team competing in the Volleyball League of America (VLA). His work behind the camera has been instrumental in Tempo’s growing online presence and continues to be a pivotal part of their competition and event coverage.
Hemant is also actively involved in the broader Metro Detroit volleyball community. A 2024 graduate of Oakland University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he was the team manager for the Oakland University NCAA Division I women’s volleyball team during the 2023–2024 season, assisting with stat tracking and daily practices. He returned to the program as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2024–2025 season, contributing to practice planning, scouting, and day-to-day operations.
During his time at Oakland, Hemant also contributed to re-establishing the Men’s Club Volleyball Team, helping lead their re-entry into the MIVA (Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) and managing their social media during their rebuilding phase.
JOSH EATON
Josh joined the Unified Volleyball family in the 2023 season, and he is excited to continue this season! Josh first found a passion for volleyball in 2018, and he currently plays at a semi-pro level as an outside attacker in his free time when he isn’t busy coaching. He has multiple years of expierience at a national level and in 2027 is going into his 5th year with us. He has played one year of college volleyball at Rochester Christian University where he made All-Freshman and 2nd Team in the WHAC Conference.
NESTOR ADDAH
Nestor Addah, originally from Ghana, brings over 15 years of playing experience and an accomplished collegiate and international volleyball career. A former outside hitter at Ottawa University (AZ) and Lawrence Technological University, he is a 4× NAIA National Championship participant, 4× AVCA First Team All-American, and 2025 WHAC Player of the Year. He has also earned multiple All-Conference honors, Attacker of the Week awards, and competed for the Ghana Men's National Volleyball Team.
Nestor has coached at Hanai Boys Volleyball Club, served as an assistant coach at Bloomfield Hills High School, and led Unified's 16-3 team during the 2024–2025 season. He will also serve as an assistant coach for Lawrence Technological University's men's volleyball team. Nestor brings elite playing experience, strong leadership, and a passion for developing athletes to every team he coaches.
ABBY KANAKRY
Abby graduated from Grosse Pointe North HS in 2018 after 3 years on the varsity team. She played D1 volleyball at Northern Kentucky University and received All-Horizon League Team for 2 years, as well as All-Horizon League Tournament Team for 4 years. During her collegiate career, she broke the school record for block assists and ranked 13th overall for career kills. She then moved on to play volleyball professionally in Peru for Alianza Lima, and is now back in Michigan to join the Unified coaching roster!
She has years of coaching expierience under all age levels from youth to college aged athletes. Abby currently holds the position of recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at Oakland University.
MATT LANSDALE
Prior to joining Unified Volleyball, Matt attended Eastern Michigan University obtaining a bachelors degree in neuroscience. While at Eastern Matt joined the club team as a middle blocker/outside and worked up the ranks to become the President/Coach of the club in his final year. Matt currently plays at the semi-pro level as a middle blocker and is looking to apply to medical school in the spring! Off the court Matt can be found playing card games with his friends or out in nature taking photos.
AUBREE GARCIA
Aubree graduated with the class of 2023 from Mount Pleasant High School, where she played on Varsity for three years. Throughout high school, Aubree was decorated with team captain, most valuable offensive player, academic all-state, first team all-conference, and first team all region. Aubree also played club volleyball at a national level at both Attack volleyball club and Far Out volleyball club. Since the beginning of high school, Aubree has coached youth volleyball camps through Mount Pleasant, including one year of directing and coordinating youth camps. This year, Aubree will be a freshman on Wayne State University’s volleyball team and is excited to grow in her coaching abilities through Unified Volleyball Club.
ASHLEY HORNE
Ashley graduated from Oxford High School in 2023 where she played on the Varsity volleyball team for 3 years as a DS/Lib and was named captain during her senior season. Ashley played for Unified for several seasons throughout her high school career and continued playing at Rochester Christian University.
While at Rochester Christian University, she wore the libero jersey for 2 years and won accalades such as Defensive Player of the Week, NAIA Scholar Athlete, WHAC All Academic Team, Second Team All-Conference, and Champions of Character.
Ashley has coached a multiple travel teams and led various camps in the past. In 2027, she will be at unified for her fourth season.
MOLLY MILLER
Molly graduated Oxford High School in 2021 where she was a 3 year varsity starter as an Outside Hitter. Throughout her senior season she was named captain along with MVP. During club, Molly competed at a high level being on a national team at Unified for 3 years. During high school and currently, Molly works camps over the summer at Unified where she is able to gain even more coaching experience and knowledge. She played her first two collegiate years at Madonna University. During her time there, her team won their conference along with her being named Newcomer of the Year, All Freshman Team, and First Team All Conference. She is currently playing at Wayne State University and is studying Sports Management. The 2024 season will be Molly’s 3rd season coaching with Unified.
KAELYN CRAWFORD
Coach Kaelyn brings over 16 years of volleyball experience as both a player and coach. She first discovered her love for the game on the West Coast at the age of 11, where she developed a strong foundation in technique and form. After moving to Michigan, she continued her volleyball journey at the national level, competing on highly competitive school and club teams.
For the past 8+ years, Kaelyn has coached across Tennessee, Virginia, and Michigan at the club, school, and collegiate levels—working with athletes of all skill levels, from beginners to elite-level players. Her coaching style is rooted in fundamentals, accountability, and building athlete confidence both on and off the court.
Beyond volleyball, Coach Kaelyn is a certified personal trainer specializing in sports performance, recovery, and nutrition. With over five years of experience and thousands of clients trained, she brings a results-driven approach to developing athletes physically and mentally.
Her proudest title, however, is “Mom” to her 3-year-old daughter, Emery—her greatest inspiration and motivation every day.
CHRISTINA BOHM
Coach Christina Bohm is excited to join Unified Volleyball Club’s National Coach Roster, bringing a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the program. A proud alumna of St. Clair High School, Christina continued her athletic journey at St. Clair County Community College, where she was a standout in both volleyball and basketball. Her sophomore year was marked by earning Player of the Year honors and First Team All-American recognition, achievements that helped her secure a full Division I scholarship to Oakland University. Competing at the highest collegiate level, she developed not only her skills but a deep understanding of the game’s demands and nuances.
With over five years dedicated to coaching private lessons and group training sessions, Christina has a proven track record of helping players grow technically, mentally, and emotionally. Her recent experience as a head coach at Unified Volleyball Club highlights her commitment to building well-rounded athletes who play with skill and confidence. Christina is passionate about volleyball and brings infectious energy and enthusiasm to every practice. She’s excited to share her knowledge and support players as they pursue their own volleyball journeys with Unified East.
CAT DOBIES
Catherine graduated from Oxford High School in 2021, where she was a four-year varsity starter and served as team captain for three seasons. She continued her volleyball career at Trine University, earning a starting position for three years and captaining the team during her junior and senior seasons. She recently graduated from Trine University in May 2025 with a BS in Biochemistry and Chemistry.
In 2021, Catherine began her coaching career with Team Pineapple Volleyball Club, where she spent the next four years developing young athletes on teams ranging from 10U to 12U. She also worked as an assistant tournament director for Team Pineapple. Most recently, Catherine concluded her first season as the junior varsity volleyball coach at Oxford High School!
ALLISON SCOTT
Allison Scott is a graduate of Rochester Christian University where she played collegiate volleyball and finished with a Bachelors in Sports Management. She is conintuing her studies for hr Masters in Sports Leadership and serves as the Volleyball Graduate Assistant at RCU. Allison has played many positions, but concluded her career as a setter and DS. She brings over a decade of playing experience, including time on several competitive travel teams.
The 2027 season marks Allison’s eighth year coaching youth volleyball and her fourth with Unified—she’s excited to continue helping athletes grow on and off the court! She also serves as a co-summer program director and is present in many trainings and club expieriences.
ANIKA PRISBY
Anika Prisby graduated from Armada High School in 2022 where she was a 3 year varsity starter as a middle blocker. In high school, she earned all-state honors, three time all-county, and three time all-conference honors. Anika played club volleyball at Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy for four years, playing on their national level team for three years. Anika has coached two teams at Unified and is instrumental in our camps and clinics. Coach Anika played three years of D1 college volleyball at Oakland University, and will now be attending the Univeristy of Idaho for her last season. She is currently studying business and hoping to major in finance or accounting. In 2027, this will be Anika’s 6th season with Unified!
ERICA HURT
Erica currently coaches at Notre Dame Prep Middle School and the 4th/5th grade team at Notre Dame Prep. This will be her fourth year with the NDP program. Previously, she played Collegiate soccer and basketball at Cornerstone University where she graduated with her bachelors in teaching. In high school, as a Setter, she was named team captain for 2 years, 1st team all Conference, and All-Region and All-County for 3 years at Parkway Christian in Sterling Heights. In 2027, Erica is heading into her 4th season with Unified Volleyball.
EMMA HOCK
Emma Hock is entering her fourth season coaching with Unified Volleyball for the 2026 - 2027 season. A dedicated and energetic coach, Emma brings both playing experience and leadership skills to her role on the court.
She was a two-sport athlete at Manchester Jr./Sr. High School, where she lettered in volleyball for two years and soccer for three. She was also involved in Link Crew for two years, mentoring younger students, and was recognized with the All-State Team Academic Award in volleyball for her outstanding performance both on the court and in the classroom.
Emma played club volleyball for four years at a high level gaining valuable expierience. She currently plays at Rochester Christian University studying sports management.
Emma has been a valued member of the Unified coaching staff, known for her positivity, attention to detail, and player-first approach.
KARLI ROHRAFF
Karli graduated from Divine Child High School in 2022. She has played on various travel teams throughout her career as an OH/DS. She is a recent graduate and student athlete of Rochester Christian University she was as a DS and majored in psychology. 2026-2027 is her fourth season coaching and her thrid season at Unified!
KAJSA PARSONS
Kajsa graduated from Brandon High School in 2018, where she played as a Middle Hitter and served as team captain during her senior year. She began playing club volleyball at age 12 and continued throughout her college years. At Oakland University, Kajsa was actively involved in the club volleyball program, contributing on the board for all four years, including roles in social media support and as Vice President. She earned her degree in Sociology and Human Resources from OU in 2022. Currently, Kajsa works as a Human Resources Generalist at Magna and is excited to begin her fourth season coaching at Unified for the 2024 club season.
CHLOE WINCHESTER
Chloe graduated from Romeo High School in 2021, where she played two years on the JV team—serving as captain—and two years on Varsity. Throughout her club career, she competed as an outside and right side hitter for Unified and other travel teams. Chloe is a graduate of Rochester Christian University, where she played collegiate volleyball as a pin hitter and is finsihed with a degree in Elementary Education. She is now student teaching and moving into her first full time teaching job! This will be her third season coaching at Unified, and she’s excited to continue giving back to the program that helped shape her as an athlete!
GRACE ROPES
Grace Ropes graduated from Armada High School in 2025, where she was a three-year varsity player and team captain during her senior season. Playing as a DS/Libero, Grace brings over six years of competitive volleyball experience to the court.
She competed for Unified’s Nationals 1s team for two consecutive seasons and is now continuing her volleyball career at St. Clair County Community College (SC4) while pursuing a degree in nursing. Throughout her playing career, Grace has earned numerous accolades, including being a 2x Macomb All-County Defensive Team selection, Second Team All-Blue Water Area Conference, and First Team All-Region.
Grace was first with us for Unified’s Spring League and is excited to begin her second official season coaching with Unified!
ALLIE VISSER
With over 20 years of combined playing and coaching experience, Allie Visser brings exceptional knowledge, passion, and versatility to the volleyball court. A four-year varsity standout at Athens High School, Allie was recognized for her work ethic and love for the game. She continued her playing career at Michigan State University, competing for four years on the MSU Club Volleyball Team. Throughout her time as an athlete, she gained experience in every position before ultimately specializing as a setter.
Allie began coaching during her senior year of high school, taking on the unique role of coaching and playing for her own travel team—an experience that sparked her passion for developing young athletes. She has since served as the Head Freshman Coach at Athens High School, where she focuses not only on technical improvement but also on building confidence, teamwork, and character in her players.
Off the court, Allie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, Coen and Reagan. You might even spot Reagan at our Unified Volleyball Camps, proudly continuing the family’s love for the sport.
We are excited to have Coach Allie on our staff and look forward to the energy, leadership, and experience she brings to our athletes and families.
ALEXIS OWENS
Alexis Owens is a 2023 graduate of Troy High School and brings over six years of club volleyball experience to Unified Volleyball. As a player, she primarily competed as a setter and developed a strong passion for leadership, teamwork, and athlete development.
Alexis is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing at Oakland University and is expected to graduate in May 2027.
Now entering her third season coaching with Unified, Alexis is passionate about helping athletes build confidence, develop their skills, and grow both on and off the court. In addition to her role as a club coach, she serves as the Freshman Volleyball Coach at Troy High School.
Alexis also serves as Unified's Summer Programming Director, where she oversees summer camps and training opportunities while working closely with athletes of all ages to help them reach their goals and develop a lifelong love for the game.
CLAUDIO ARATO
Claudio graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 2023 and began his collegiate studies at Macomb Community College. He is going into his second year at Rochester Christian University on the men's volleyball team, where he majors in Health Sciences.
Claudio brings several years of experience competing in indoor, grass, and beach volleyball. Now in his second season coaching with Unified, he’s excited to continue sharing his passion for the game. He emphasizes strong fundamentals, a positive mindset, and building confidence in every athlete he works with.
EMILY SUSITKO
Emily Susitko brings over 12 years of volleyball experience as both a high-level player and dedicated coach. Her journey began in the club circuit, finishing her club career with Unified Volleyball before going on to play collegiately at Hillsdale College. While at Hillsdale, Emily was a key contributor to a program that secured four consecutive conference championships and reached the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in 2021.
After her collegiate career, Emily seamlessly transitioned into coaching, working with both school and club teams. Her coaching philosophy centers around servant leadership—leading by example, prioritizing the development of her athletes on and off the court, and cultivating a positive, disciplined, and team-first environment.
Emily remains active in the volleyball community, regularly competing in local leagues and tournaments. Her passion for the sport, combined with her leadership and playing experience, brings a competitive and supportive energy to every team she works with.
ANDREW SUSITKO
Andrew Susitko is a passionate and competitive volleyball coach with over five years of experience in the sport. He was a key member of the Ferris State University men’s club volleyball team and also served as a practice player for the women’s varsity program, gaining valuable insight and experience at a high level of collegiate play.
Andrew continues to compete in tournaments nearly every weekend, bringing relentless energy, grit, and consistency to the court. His love for the game and drive to improve translate directly into his coaching style, where he emphasizes fundamentals, effort, and a positive team culture. Andrew is excited to help young athletes grow both on and off the court through hard work, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to the game.
ANTHONY LE
Unified Volleyball is excited to welcome back Anthony Le to the coaching staff for his third season with the club in 2027. Anthony brings a strong foundation of leadership and high-level playing experience, having earned two All-Conference honors as a setter with the Oakland University Men’s Club Volleyball Team. During his time at Oakland, he served as team captain, taking on key coaching responsibilities by leading practices, designing drills, and helping guide the team through competition in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA).
Anthony is currently pursuing a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at Oakland University, with a focus in cybersecurity, information systems, and data science. He plans to continue his volleyball journey after college by competing at the semi-professional level.
Off the court, Anthony enjoys all forms of volleyball and is passionate about cooking and traveling whenever the opportunity arises. Unified Volleyball is thrilled to have his energy, experience, and dedication as part of the coaching team.
RACHEL COOK
Rachel Cook is excited to join the Unified Volleyball coaching staff and bring her passion for the game to the next generation of athletes. A 2018 graduate of Ubly High School, Rachel played volleyball throughout high school and at a local club, continuing her club career through her undergraduate years as a right-side hitter.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Oakland University in April 2022 and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Oakland, with plans to graduate in December 2025. Rachel brings both athletic experience and a strong academic background in human movement and injury prevention to her coaching style. She plans to specialize in pediatrics after completing her degree and is excited to blend her love for working with youth with her lifelong passion for volleyball.
LIZ FRANKLIN
Liz Franklin brings over two decades of experience as both a decorated player and dedicated coach. A standout at TriUnity Christian High School, Liz earned All-State honors in 2000 and 2001 before continuing her career at the collegiate level. She played at Lee University in 2001, Grand Rapids Community College in 2002 where she earned All-Region honors, and later at North Central University in Minneapolis from 2004–2006, where she was named All-Conference, All-Region, and 2006 Female Athlete of the Year.
Her coaching journey began in high school volleyball with Grand Rapids Christian JV (2002–2003), followed by Grand Rapids Creston Varsity (2006–2009). After returning to the sidelines in recent years, she led Oakland Christian Middle School (2022–2024) and now serves as the Varsity Head Coach at Oakland Christian.
In the club volleyball scene, Liz has guided athletes at multiple levels, including Grand Rapids Net Results 12-1 (2002), Impact Volleyball Club Minneapolis 14-1 (2004), MVA Grand Rapids 15-2 (2007–2008), and currently Unified Volleyball 10s (2025).
Known for her competitive drive, technical expertise, and passion for developing young athletes, Coach Franklin is committed to helping players grow both on and off the court.
SHALEENE MAYO
Shaleene found her love for volleyball in 7th grade. She played for Marysville High School 1996-99) where she led the team to 3 undefeated state championships. She continued her volleyball career as a D1 setter for Central Michigan University (1999-2004) where she eventually got inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2019.
Shaleene now lives in Troy with her Husband Damien and her 2 kids, Amaya (11) and Amar’e (7). She is currently running her own business as a health and wellness coach and personal trainer.
AMANDA SWANN
Amanda is entering her 8th season with Unified Volleyball in 2024, bringing a strong playing background and a passion for athlete wellness to the program.
A four-year varsity starter at Rochester High School, Amanda also competed at the AAU level throughout her youth. Her talent and dedication earned her an athletic scholarship to the University of Minnesota Crookston, where she played collegiate volleyball and earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Amanda moved to Florida to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic. While in Florida, she continued her involvement in the sport by coaching AAU volleyball for two years.
Now a practicing chiropractor in Rochester Hills, Amanda combines her expertise in health and performance with her love for coaching. In her free time, Amanda balances her coaching career with her family, baby girl Emerson, playing volleyball, and spending time with her dog, Bruno.
MARIA FAMULARO
Maria has been with us since the first year Unified officially became a club. She started to play with us when she was 15 and continued to play for us for the rest of her club career. She graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory in 2019, where her team won the State Championship in 2017 and were the runner ups in 2018. She was committed to play volleyball at Slippery Rock University but decided to step back to focus on her academic career and she is currently a Sophomore student at Oakland University, studying in the business school. She is also an assistant coach for NDP’s Varsity’s volleyball team and the head coach for the NDP’s middle school 8th Grade volleyball team as well. After high school Maria started coaching for Unified, working with players of all ages. Maria is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and experience to athletes. In 2024, Maria is heading into her 4th season coaching with Unified Volleyball.
DANIELLE PARTYKA
Danielle has been with Unified Volleyball since its inception, contributing her expertise across both the National and National Select levels. Most recently, she has led teams at the 15s and 16s age groups, helping athletes grow and compete at the highest levels of club volleyball.
A four-year varsity starter at Bishop Foley, Danielle was a multi-sport athlete who earned All-Catholic and All-Region honors in both volleyball and soccer. She competed at the AAU National level in volleyball and was recruited to play collegiate soccer. After beginning her college career at Alma College, she returned home to complete her degree at Oakland University.
Off the court, Danielle is a Budget Analyst with the DTE Energy Foundation and is currently pursuing her MBA in Financial Accounting at Wayne State University. In her free time, she continues to play both indoor and sand volleyball with her sister Anita—and has recently picked up golf as her newest hobby.
Danielle enters her 12th season with Unified Volleyball in 2027, bringing leadership, dedication, and a deep love for the game to every athlete she coaches.
LAURA WOODMORE
Laura Woodmore brings a dynamic mix of athletic experience, coaching passion, and joyful energy to Unified Volleyball as she enters her 9th season with the program in 2025.
As a student-athlete at Seaholm High School, Laura was a three-year varsity volleyball player and four-year varsity basketball standout, helping lead her team to a district title in her senior year. She earned an athletic scholarship to Schoolcraft College, where she helped guide her team to a 7th place finish in the NJCAA National Championships.
Laura has coached volleyball for over 20 years and previously served as the head coach at Waterford Mott from 2010–2012. In 2016, she joined the Oxford High School staff as the JV and Varsity Assistant Coach.
A lifelong athlete, Laura still loves to play the game herself—competing in women’s and co-ed volleyball leagues whenever she can. She also plays soccer and softball, always staying active and connected to the sports community.
Most importantly, Laura is a proud mom to her two children, Kennedy and Kenneth Jr., who she calls “the best things in the world.”
MARIA FAMULARO
Maria has been with us since the first year Unified officially became a club. She started to play with us when she was 15 and continued to play for us for the rest of her club career. She graduated from Notre Dame Preparatory in 2019, where her team won the State Championship in 2017 and were the runner ups in 2018. She was committed to play volleyball at Slippery Rock University but decided to step back to focus on her academic career and she is currently a Sophomore student at Oakland University, studying in the business school. She is also an assistant coach for NDP’s Varsity’s volleyball team and the head coach for the NDP’s middle school 8th Grade volleyball team as well. After high school Maria started coaching for Unified, working with players of all ages. Maria is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and experience to athletes. In 2024, Maria is heading into her 4th season coaching with Unified Volleyball.
KELLY DARCY
Kelly is a Grand Valley State University alumna currently working as a digital marketing specialist in Troy. She played volleyball competitively for 9 years, primarily as a setter but for club volleyball she played everything from a middle to libero. Kelly played high school ball for Notre Dame Prep and coached volleyball for 3 years at Marist Academy. She currently plays in women’s leagues on and off for the past 5 years and am happy to be coaching again and teaching proper techniques to the next generation! In 2024, Kelly is heading into her 6th season with Unified Volleyball.
MAI SOTO
Mai Soto played Division I indoor and beach volleyball at Lindenwood University, where she served as a team captain and later worked as an assistant coach for the beach volleyball program. Before her collegiate career, Mai competed internationally with the Spanish National Team, earning multiple medals and gaining valuable experience in high-level training and team culture.
Mai is passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the court. Her coaching philosophy centers on skill development, teamwork, and building confidence through a positive and competitive environment. She is excited for the opportunity to coach one or two teams within your club and contribute to the growth and success of its athletes.
Mai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Health Sciences, both from Lindenwood University.
JESS ANSPACH
Jess Anspach is thrilled to join the Unified Volleyball coaching staff as the head coach for the 11-1 team. With a lifelong love for volleyball, Jess brings an impressive background as both an athlete and coach, along with a contagious passion for the game.
Her volleyball journey began at the age of 8, and her dedication led to an early milestone—winning her first National Championship at AAUs with a 16-1 team in Chicago. Jess was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Wheaton North High School before competing at the collegiate level. She played two seasons in the Big Ten at Purdue University and two at Penn State University, where she contributed to two Big Ten Championships and back-to-back NCAA National Championships in 2009 and 2010.
After her collegiate career, Jess spent four years coaching both high school and club volleyball in the Chicago area, sharing her knowledge and love for the sport with young athletes.
Outside of the gym, Jess is a proud mom of three children (ages 10, 4, and 2). When she’s not chasing them around, she enjoys running outdoors, traveling, reading for her book clubs, and spending time with her large extended family and close friends.
SAMANTHA TEAGUE
Sam brings over a decade of volleyball experience to the program, combining competitive playing and dedicated coaching. A graduate from Oxford Schools, Sam played as a setter from 4th grade to graduation. During club, Sam played at the State and National level as a setter, right-side hitter, and defensive specialist.
Since high school, Sam has remained actively involved by playing in a variety of local women’s and coed indoor intramural leagues. Currently, Sam serves as the head coach for the Bloomfield Hills High School freshman volleyball team, where she is committed to developing young athletes and fostering a competitive, team-first environment.
KAITLIN WILLIAMSON
Kaitlyn brings a strong competitive background and a passion for developing young athletes. She played high school volleyball at Milford High School and competed in club volleyball for 10 years, beginning with MoJo Volleyball before continuing her training with L2 Volleyball (formerly Legends Volleyball).
Last season, Kaitlyn served as a head coach with Huron Valley Volleyball, where she gained valuable coaching experience and a deeper understanding of athlete development.
She is now a freshman at Oakland University and is excited to begin her first year coaching at Unified Volleyball. Kaitlyn is passionate about helping athletes grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
MEGAN HOLAS
Megan Holas is a 2020 graduate of Romeo High School, where she played two years on the varsity volleyball team. During her time with the Bulldogs, she earned the Best Improved Player award her senior year and was recognized with the Bulldog Award—honoring outstanding attitude and team spirit—both seasons she played.
Megan continued her volleyball career at Henry Ford College, competing for two years as a setter and right-side hitter while pursuing a Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in ceramics.
This is Megan’s first season with Unified Volleyball, and she is excited to give back to the sport by inspiring athletes and helping cultivate a love for the game—just as her coaches once did for her.
AMELIA CZARNIK
Amelia graduated from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory High School in 2025, after playing all 4 years of varsity volleyball. While at St. Mary’s, she was a 3x Catholic League Champion and received many personal accolades including All-League and All-Academic setter. She started playing for Unified when she was 12, and played on our highest level national team every year as a setter and DS/L.
Currently going into her sophomore year at Virginia Tech, Amelia is studying neuroscience on a physical therapy track and working in the athletic department as a member of the creative video team. While at VT, she plays in competitive indoor, beach, and grass volleyball tournaments.
While coaching, Amelia emphasizes mental adaptability, teamwork, and is committed to improving each of her athletes volleyball IQ and passion for the game of volleyball.
MIRIAM CZARNIK
Miriam graduated from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Preparatory High School in 2025, after playing all 4 years of varsity volleyball. Going into her sophomore year at the University of Alabama, Miriam has been apart of the club beach volleyball team during her schooling where she has developed technical and strategic skills that she applies to her coaching.
